You start with keeping your hair moisturized (Hot Oil treatments or a good conditioner are great options) and when you are done styling it using a hair shine or polishing product works wonders.

i got this fructis stuff one time, its liquid, it comes in a spray bottle, its called super shine or something similar. its can be a bit oily so use it sparingly. flat iron your hair, spray it on, and brush it through, it'll shine like a disco ball :D also try smoothing shampoos and conditioners to make your hair lay down.

I trim every month and a half so the shape looks perfect and then my hairdresser deep conditions it and puts some great products. I apply mask every week. I use Frederic Fekkai or Schwartzkopf shampoo and conditioner. If I blow-dry it I put a thing that prevents damage. When it dries, or I blow-dry it, I use Frederic Fekkai extra glossing formula to finish, it makes my hair so shiny and soft.

Do a really good cleanser like Aloe Rid to strip all the old product from the hair shafts. Then make sure that you have a plastic haircap to do a deep condition. When you finish the deep condition, one way to get a good shine is if you use heat, rinse with cold/cool water before you finish rinsing out the conditioner. This will cause a sealing effect. The heat will cause the "waxy" cold residue to melt and shine. If you don t use heat, put some conditioner/shine product on a towel while drying and carefully dry the hair root to tip.
I like the Kiehl products alot - the olive fruit line leaves hair soft manageable and really shiny. The castor soap is a good stripper/residue remover.
Good luck.
