Does anyone have any tips for getting static out of my hair?

It's terrible this time of year, and i have tried lots of different things but nothing seems to work.

Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Shine Serum is a light oil in a glass pump jar. Using about a nickel size will reduce or even eliminate static in normal hair that is about shoulder length. It leaves your hair smelling great, and with a lot of shine.

Alberto Vo5 Conditioning Spray is also great...spray it on before you blow-dry, curl, or using any heat implements on your hair to reduce static, frizz, and fly-aways.

I live in the MidWest, where static reigns this time of year. The above products have been the only two that I have tried that actually work. To give you an idea of my hair, I have color-processed, shoulder length hair. Not sure how long or what type of hair you have.

Good luck!

Ultimately, plain water is the best to remove static, so if you can find a spray bottle that will give you a light mist, that generally works for me. Another handy trick is an unscented dryer sheet such as the 'bounce' brand, they're easy to keep tucked in your purse too...!

Hahah, I liked the "stop rubbing balloons on it" comment someone left, because honestly, that's how my hair looks!

Before I go out, I run an ice cube through my hair. I know, "but I don't want wet hair!" unless you leave it on until it melts, your hair won't become damp at all -- but will just be smooth and silky.

Also, I saw a few women suggest dryer sheets -- they work so well! I always keep one in my purse.

Take care!

Spray some hairspray onto your brush and then brush your hair.

and

the dryer sheet is a real good suggestion too. I've done that before too. It also works if you are wearing a dress that becomes staticy during your day then rub a dryer sheet on your legs or on the inside of the dress and the static will disappear.
