I prefer the powder to foundation. I am also olive skinned and dark eyes. I use Cover girl Soft Honey or Buff Beige. Foundation to me is so clown like. My opinion, I'm sure on others it looks fine. I use all brown shades and lipsticks. Black eyeliner and mascara. Powder just makes my face feel like it can breath and I don't get any pimples what so ever! I have been using make up since I was 14 and now I am 43...My skin still looks smooth and no scars from pimples.

Try Hyper-Real from MAC it's got a great touch of shimmer to it that gives you that dewey-fresh-I don't even have make-up on look. And it has nice coverage that you can build up over trouble spots. Or something like a tinted moisturizer might be a good option for you too, it's nice and sheer, just make sure you have a good concealer for extra coverage. MAC is also nice because it's almost fool proof, you can go to a counter or a store and they will help you find the perfect shade and exactly what you're looking for. I don't know what you're make up habits are, so MAC may seem a little pricey, but I think you'll love it. It's worth every penny! My first bottle lasted me almost six months, for example and I wear makeup everyday.
